Why join the Porte Impact Accelerator?

How our 1-on-1 mentorship program provides everything your child needs to build a stand out Impact Project.

Welcome to the Impact Journal.

We’re Porte. We provide 1-on-1 mentorship to help students launch projects meaningful for themselves and their college portfolio.

Since inception, we’ve coached countless families to guide their children towards success in college applications and beyond.

The Problem

The standards for leadership have changed.

Today, colleges seek applicants with real passion, not just a list of titles and accomplishments (according to Harvard’s Turning the Tide Report 2022.)

True leaders aren’t those who:
❌ Chase prestigious titles
❌ Lead every club on campus
❌ Stay neutral on important local or global issues

The best applicants are those who care deeply about their communities and demonstrate a unified narrative across all their initiatives.

But where does your child’s narrative start from?

What is the best way for my child to demonstrate their leadership in an impactful way?

All students of our program (who’ve gone onto places like Harvard, Cornell, Brown, Duke, Oxford, UChicago, UC Berkeley & more) share a similar thread to success:

They developed Impact Projects — ambitious social initiatives rooted in students’ passions & communities.

Ray founded Thrive Refuge - a non-profit providing refugees with access to musical education. Through their initiatives, Ray’s team established a bursary with the Immigration Services Society of Canada to help Sasha Luchkov - a Ukrainian teen pianist - escape Ukraine & pursue music in Vancouver.

Impact Projects aren’t your usual school leadership positions or summer programs. Impact Projects create broad, long-term impact on the communities and demonstrate your child’s understanding of complex global issues. They require hours of consideration & work.

Impact Projects immediately make your child stand out, transforming them into a leader desired by not only top colleges, but institutions far beyond.

Jasmine R. (Cornell ‘26). She launched GoGivers which has grown into one of Vancouver’s largest youth non-profits addressing food insecurity. GoGivers engages 800+ members, has distributed 30K+ care packages, and has raised over $18K for the houseless community.

Hana R. (London School of Economics, ‘28). She launched Flowbox - a non-profit advocating for proper menstrual health for northern indigenous communities. Through her mentorship, we helped Hana organize several fundraisers and install an interactive vending machine at her school which dispels sustainable menstrual health products.

How can my child become a stand out leader like Ray, Jasmine, or Hana?

We’re here to help.

#4: Curriculum designed with Dr. Sousan Abadian (Harvard Fellow)

Creating Impact Projects can take years to figure out on your own — but we’ve distilled the best practices into a singular, time-efficient curriculum. This includes 30+ hours of effective material containing proven frameworks, templates, worksheets, and previous student cases that your child will use to build their standout project.

Personal development & project development go hand-in-hand which is why we’ve worked in partnership with Dr. Sousan Abadian - Fellow at Harvard’s Center for Public Leadership - to design ARIA, a breakthrough leadership curriculum.

Throughout the program, your child will learn how to identify their limiting beliefs and develop essential strategies used by the top leaders of the world.

Dr. Abadian’s Background

Dr. Sousan Abadian (Harvard Ph.D.) was a Franklin Fellow at the U.S State Department, MIT’s Dalai Lama Center for Ethics & Transformative Values, as well as Harvard’s Center for Public Leadership.

Dr. Abadian’s ARIA curriculum has helped world leaders and entrepreneurs breakthrough their limiting beliefs and achieve their greatest goals. Our leadership curriculum was created specifically to help youth create unimaginable impact and increase their ability to succeed in and beyond school.
